Prayer Times

Prayer Times — Glasgow

Al-Rahmah Community Centre follows the Glasgow Central Mosque / Muslim World League calculation method, widely adopted across Scotland. Times are updated monthly. Please check regularly, especially during seasonal changes — Glasgow’s high latitude means Fajr and Isha shift dramatically through the year.

Friday Jumu'ah

Jumu'ah is held weekly at Al-Rahmah Community Centre. Please arrive early to secure a place, especially during Ramadan and school holidays.

• First Khutbah & Salah: 1:00pm (English)
• Second Khutbah & Salah: 2:00pm (Arabic / Urdu)
• Doors open: 12:30pm

Out of respect for the sanctity of Jumu’ah, we ask all attendees to arrive on time, switch
phones to silent, and maintain cleanliness of the prayer area. Jazakallahu Khayran.

A Note on Glasgow's High Latitude

During the longest days of June, true Fajr begins around 1:30am and Isha extends past 11:30pm. During the shortest December days, Fajr and Isha occur very close to one another. Our centre follows scholarly guidance from the Glasgow Council of Mosques regarding combining and timing during extreme periods. If you have questions about prayer in Scotland’s unique daylight conditions, please speak to one of our Imams.
