Our Story

Al-Rahmah Community Centre was founded in [Year] by a small group of Glasgow Muslims who shared a vision: to create a welcoming, inclusive space where the Muslim community of our city could gather to pray, learn, and support one another.
What began as Friday prayers in a rented hall in [neighbourhood] has grown into a thriving community centre serving hundreds of families each week. Al-Rahmah — meaning ‘mercy’ in Arabic — reflects the spirit of our centre: a place where everyone is treated with kindness, dignity, and compassion.
Today, we serve Muslims from across Glasgow — from the Southside to the East End, from Pollokshields to Govanhill — and welcome visitors from every walk of life.
