Community Services

Al-Rahmah Community Centre offers a range of pastoral and community services to support Glasgow’s Muslims through the most important moments of their lives — from the joy of marriage to the grief of bereavement. All services are conducted with Islamic guidance, sensitivity, and respect.

Nikkah Services — Islamic Marriage

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! Al-Rahmah's Imams are here to help solemnise your Nikkah with dignity and in accordance with Islamic Shari'ah.

Our Nikkah service includes:
• Pre-Nikkah consultation with an Imam
• Ceremony conducted by a qualified Imam
• Assistance with the Mahr (marriage gift) agreement
• Witnesses arranged on request
• Guidance on registering your marriage under Scots law
Please contact us at least 4 weeks in advance to make arrangements

📌 Note: In Scotland, a Nikkah alone is not legally binding. Couples must also have a civil ceremony or arrange for the Nikkah to be conducted by a religious celebrant authorised by the National Records of Scotland. We can advise on this.

Janazah Services — Funeral Arrangements

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un — Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.

the Islamic funeral process with care and compassion.
• Ghusl (ritual washing) facilities for brothers and sisters
• Kafan (shrouding) provided
• Janazah Salah led by our Imam

In case of bereavement, please contact us as soon as possible. Our Janazah
coordinator is available 7 days a week.
